Boston Palestine Film Festival announces its 2013 program

150 150 Boston Palestine Film Festival

Our full 2013 program is now online. Here are a few highlights:

When I Saw You, by Annemarie Jacir (Salt of This Sea), is an awardwinning story about that moment in life when you wake up and find the whole world is open and everything is possible–that moment you feel most alive. It is a journey of the human spirit that knows no borders. This film is Palestine’s entry for the 2013 Academy Awards for Foreign Language Film.

Inheritance is the directorial debut from world-renowned Palestinian actress Hiam Abbass (Munich, The Syrian Bride, The Lemon Tree, The Visitor, Miral, Amreeka, May in the Summer, and many more). A family wedding in the Galilee under the gathering clouds of war brings hidden family tensions to the boiling point.

A World Not Ours, by Mahdi Fleifel, is an intimate, humorous, portrait of three generations of exile in the refugee camp of Ain el-Helweh, in southern Lebanon. This film has won major awards around the world and continues to do so.

These are just a few of the many offerings. View the full program here.

We will be sharing more information about the program and the invited guests in the coming weeks. Opening Night is October 18, 2013 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
