Spread the Word: Omar Returns to the Boston Area

1024 427 Boston Palestine Film Festival

After our sold-out premiere of Hany Abu-Assad’s Omar last month, we are very pleased to announce that it will be returning to West Newton Cinema starting this Friday, March 14. Sensing the enthusiasm and demand for the film, the theatre arranged to bring it back.

If you haven’t seen Omar yet, don’t delay. It’s a critical time for the film’s success in the United States. As the first Oscar-nominated foreign film to have Palestine as its noncontested country of origin and 95% of its funding from private Palestinian equity, Omar is a historic accomplishment in Palestinian cinema, and its worldwide success and stream of raving reviews create the opportunity to leverage even wider support for the film and its creators, which will hopefully benefit future Palestinian cinematic production.

Please help the creators of Omar make this Palestinian film the smashing success it deserves to be! Take a friend, recommend it to your networks, and spread the word on social media: Tweet about @OmarTheFilm and Like the film on Facebook for more updates.

A tender love story, a haunting tragedy and an expertly crafted thriller
