You Come From Far Away

Imagine that you have parents but you were raised without them. Imagine that you can’t talk to your siblings because each of you speaks a different language. This film chronicles the extraordinary story of a Palestinian family dispersed by the turmoil that shaped the twentieth century: the Spanish Civil War in which the father, Palestinian journalist Najati Sidki, fought against Franco (1936-39); World War II; the Nakba; and the Lebanese Civil War.
